Why we began this journey
We began this journey because while Indian Americans have excelled across nearly every field—technology, medicine, finance, and entrepreneurship—there remains a striking absence of recognition and advocacy for professionals of Indian origin in real estate. Despite being among the most educated and economically successful communities in the U.S., Indian real estate professionals are often overlooked in leadership roles, underrepresented in industry boards, and missing from policy and decision-making conversations. The American Association of Indian Real Estate Professionals (AAIREP) was founded to change that narrative—to empower, connect, and elevate Indian-origin professionals in real estate through education, collaboration, and leadership development. Our mission is to ensure that excellence, ethics, and representation go hand in hand, and that the voice of our community is heard, respected, and reflected in the future of American real estate.
